Boys and Girls Soccer Sweep Landry / Walker

Playing simultaneously  on an overcast foggy afternoon at Lasalle Park in Metairie, both the boys and girls soccer teams earned victories over the Landry / Walker Charging Buccaneers.  The girls won in dominant fashion by a score of 5-1, while the boys won in an overtime thriller 2-1.
The game winner for the boys was scored by senior Ryan Jack.  Peyton Giacone, also a senior, tallied the Cavaliers first goal in the first half.  Dustin Brennan was stellar in goal for the Cavaliers.

The Lady Cavaliers offense was bolstered by two goals each by freshmen Kailie Koenig and Madison Schumacher.  Junior Sedona Essert also blasted one shot beyond the Charging Buccaneers goal keeper for the final goal.  Madeline Piglia was a wall for the Cavaliers only allowing one Charging Buccaneers shot to find its way into the goal.

Both teams return to action early next week at Ben Franklin.  The boys play on Monday and the girls on Tueday.  Both games are scheduled to begin at 3:45 PM.
