End-of-Fall/ Start-of-Spring Semester Reminders

  • If you have a state textbook for any of your classes, be sure to turn it in at the exam period of that class.
  • I am sure your first semester teachers would appreciate your thanking them at some point this week for all they have done to help you throughout the semester. Please see Ms. Fitzmorris if you have any questions.
  • Spring semester classes were listed on the schedules distributed at Welcome to De La Salle Day in August. With few exceptions, those schedules should still be the same.
We will also hand out printed copies at the beginning of the day on Tuesday, January 7th.
  • If you would like to see a copy of your schedule before January 7th, please send me an email, and I will send you a screenshot of your schedule.

Morning Advent Reflection

  • The morning Advent reflection continues each morning this week with a brief gathering in the chapel  from 7:30 a.m. until approximately 7:40 a.m.
  • The reflection will include a chance to name special intentions, light the appropriate candle(s), hear a brief meditation, and conclude with the song O Come, O Come Emmanuel. ALL students are invited to attend this little service every morning during Advent. It is a lovely way to start your morning.
  • Please see Ms. Fitzmorris if you have any questions.

Christmas Dress-Down Day- Wednesday, December 18th

  • On Wednesday, we will have a dress down day. You have two options:
    • Tacky Christmas Sweater- Regular dress-down day rules apply (jeans or khakis and  tennis shoes), but rather than maroon and white, plan to wear a Christmas sweater. While tackiness is encouraged, sweaters should, of course, be appropriate for a school setting.
    • Christmas Pajamas Day- You may wear Christmas Pajamas with slippers or tennis shoes.

      - This is NOT sleepwear day. There should be no headwear or shorts on this day, nor crocs, slides, or flip flops.
      - Students should not bring blankets, pillows, teddy bears, eye masks or other accessories. Patterns and images on pajamas must be appropriate for school.

    • Students not participating in the dress down must be in full school uniform.
