Planning Your De La Salle Class Reunion

Planning a reunion doesn't have to be overwhelming—the Alumni Office is here to do the heavy lifting for you!

Our Traditional Reunion Format

Most of our class reunions follow a two-night model:

Friday Night: A casual gathering right here in the De La Salle Lobby.
Saturday Night: An off-campus event, preferably hosted at a De La Salle alumni-owned establishment.

Tailored to Fit Your Class

While our two-night model is the most popular, we know that every Cavalier class is unique! Whether you are interested in a single-night event, a casual daytime gathering, or a formal dinner, we are open to your ideas. We want to make sure your celebration fits the personality, style, and preferences of your class perfectly.

All We Need From Your Committee

To get started, the class chairperson or planning committee only needs to provide us with two things:

A Date (A specific day or a full weekend)
A Location (Or an idea of what type of event you want to host)

We Take It From There!

Once you share your vision with us, we manage the entire event from start to finish. We will handle:

Venue Logistics: Booking the venue, signing contracts, managing deposits, and making final payments.
Food & Beverage: Ordering the menu and refreshments for your classmates.
Promotion & Registration: Setting up a secure online payment link, adding the reunion information to our website, and designing the invitations.
Outreach: Emailing your classmates and running social media campaigns.
Event Day Coordination: Preparing name tags, managing guest lists, handling payments at the door, and hosting the event to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Celebrating 65 Years: De La Salle Class of 1961 Reunion!

The De La Salle Class of 1961 celebrated their incredible 65th high school reunion last weekend!

The milestone celebration kicked off with a nostalgic Grad Night right in the De La Salle High School lobby.

Alumni had a wonderful time catching up, reminiscing, and sharing favorite stories from their high school days.

On Saturday, the class headed over to Southport Hall to enjoy even more Cavalier camaraderie alongside their spouses and guests, complete with a delicious food spread!

Thank you to our amazing reunion chairpersons, Mike Boudreaux and Leon Cabes. They worked diligently to reach out and connect their fellow classmates to make this reunion possible!

55 YEARS LATER & STILL CELEBRATING!

The Class of 1971 recently marked an incredible milestone, celebrating their 55th reunion with a fantastic two-day celebration!

Here is a look back at their unforgettable weekend:

FRIDAY NIGHT: Grad Night

The Cavaliers gathered right back where it all started—in the De La Salle High School of New Orleans Lobby! It was the perfect chance to reconnect with old friends and see how much our campus has grown.

SATURDAY NIGHT: The Big Celebration

The party moved to Southport Hall Live Music & Party Hall, where even more classmates and guests joined the fun! The room was packed with great food, drinks, and the absolute best music hits from the late ‘60s and early ‘70s.

THANK YOU to the dedicated event chairpeople and to everyone who traveled near and far to make this weekend so unforgettable!

Hard to believe, but your 60th reunion in 2031 will be here before you know it!

Class of 1976: Our Newest Golden Cavaliers!

50th Reunion

50 YEARS OF THE CLASS OF 1976

The De La Salle Class of 1976 officially cemented their status as Golden Cavaliers during an unforgettable 50th Reunion weekend!

From start to finish, the Cavalier camaraderie was unmatched. Here is how the Golden Cavaliers celebrated a half-century of memories:

Founder’s Day Kickoff: The weekend started back on campus with a school tour, a beautiful Mass, the official conferring of Golden Diplomas, and a celebratory lobby reception.

Grad Night: The party moved to the alum-owned Monkey Hill Bar, where old stories and laughs kept rolling.

The Main Event: On Saturday, classmates gathered at the Southern Yacht Club for an incredible night of delicious cuisine, drinks, and 70s hits keeping everyone on the dance floor!

Details: Personalized G.O.A.T. koozies and a custom G.O.A.T. cake kept the class theme alive all weekend long.

A HUGE Thank You to our incredible committee chairpeople! Your hard work made this weekend a success.

Class of 1981

45th Reunion

Forty-five years have passed since the Class of 1981 walked the halls of De La Salle, but their reunion this past weekend proved that time truly does not matter when you are a Cavalier.

The multi-day celebration kicked off on Friday night as alumni returned to their old stomping grounds. The class gathered in the school lobby for light food and drinks before taking a guided tour of the campus. It was a wonderful opportunity for alumni to see firsthand all that has changed, as well as the cherished parts of the school that have stayed the same.

On Saturday, the festivities moved to the alumni-owned Tchoup Yard. Joined by spouses and guests, the event had a fantastic turnout. Classmates spent the evening catching up, sharing stories, and enjoying delicious food and cold drinks in a laid-back atmosphere.

De La Salle extends a big thank you to our reunion chairpeople, Bob Rosamond and Denis Taylor, for their dedication and hard work in connecting classmates and making this milestone weekend so special.

We look forward to welcoming the Class of 1981 back to campus in 2031 for their 50th reunion, when they will officially become Golden Cavaliers!

40th Reunion

The Class of 1986 recently proved that time flies when you’re having fun! Our ‘86ers gathered for an incredible two-night 40th Reunion celebration.

Friday kicked off on The Avenue in the De La Salle Lobby. Alums loved walking the halls of their Alma Mater and catching up on campus. On Saturday, the party moved to the alum-owned Tchoup Yard. It was a full house of Cavaliers sharing stories, laughing over old memories, and snapping plenty of new photos!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing reunion chairpeople for organizing such a memorable weekend. It was so great to see everyone back together!

Friday Night: Cavaliers gathered back at DLS to check out their old stomping grounds and reminisce down memory AVENUE.

Saturday Night: The party moved to the alum-owned Tchoup Yard to keep the celebration going with spouses and guests!

We were so happy to celebrate this incredible milestone with you all. We are already looking forward to your 35th reunion in 2031!

20 YEARS LATER: THE BOND REMAINS.

The Class of 2006 returned home recently to celebrate their 20th Reunion, and it was more than just a party—it was a homecoming for a class like no other.

As the “Katrina Class,” these Cavaliers share a history that is truly unique. Their last time all together was at their Ring Mass, just days before the mandatory evacuation of New Orleans.

While the storm scattered them across the country, their connection to each other and to De La Salle never broke. DLS was the first high school to open its doors after the storm, serving as a beacon of hope and welcoming students from all over the city.
