At Audubon Park last week, the Cross Country team took 2nd place in District.
Team members (as pictured) include (1st row) Assistant Coach/former team member Brandon Ferrari (’08); and (2nd row) former member Logan Alonzo (’12), Sam LeBlanc, Tara Abuliel, Hunter Stansberry, Coach Ana García, Gary Hemelt, Kevin Borne, P.J. Blake; and (3rd row) Cleo Tirado and trainer Aspen Rodriguez.
Four of the male runners placed in the top 10 finishers, earning “All-District” honors. They were Hunter Stansberry – 2nd, Cleofe Tirado – 4th, Gary Hemelt – 8th, and Kevin Borne – 9th.
The sole female runner, Tara Abuliel also qualified for “All-District” honors, finishing 7th for the women.
Sam LeBlanc came in 13th and P.J. Blake was 18th.
Each of the team members had his/her best time at that meet.
