Reminder: We are accepting donations for De La Salles Saint Josephs Altar

It’s time to begin preparing for the 2012-13 St. Joseph Altar!  St. Joseph’s feast day is Tuesday, March 19 — only a few weeks away!  Monetary donations are most welcome.  The money will be used to place orders for specialty breads (hammer, nail, cross, crown of thorns, ladder, sandal, fish, bishop’s hat) and specialty cakes (Sacred Heart of Jesus cake, Bible cake, and Cross cake).  You are also welcome to help with setting up of the altar on Monday, March 18. And, of course, we will need all the traditional items found on a St. Joseph Altar — Italian cookies, memorial cakes, cakes to cut and serve altar viewers, flowers, fruits and vegetables — just to name a few.   If you have any statues or pictures that we could use to display on the altar, please let us know. 

 

 

All are invited to participate – students, graduates, mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, and uncles.  Please call Marilyn Piglia D’Antoni at 895-5717 x-113 if you can donate in any way.  Have a get-together with family and friends to bake Italian cookies for the altar!  If you need Italian cookie recipes, just give us a call!
