Victor Gaines leads De La Salle to a 37-8 victory over Lusher

Behind a balanced attack Friday night, De La Salle (5-4, 2-2) got a 37-8 victory over District 11-3A rival Lusher (4-6, 0-4) in the regular season finale.

The Cavaliers totaled 341 yards of offense (216 rushing, 125 passing), led by quarterback Victor Gaines. Gaines passed for two touchdowns and ran one in from 18 yards out.

Brian Dyer led all rushers with 59 yards on seven carries and one touchdown.

Lushers lone touchdown came late in the fourth on a 36 yard pass from Carey Broussard to Oliver Lucius.
