Scholarships from School Tuition Organizations (STOs) & Tax Donation Credit Programs (TDCs)
Some families may qualify for scholarship awards from School Tuition Organizations/Tax Donation Credit programs such as LA GATOR, ACE, Arete, Aspiring Scholars, and Son of a Saint. Distribution of these scholarships are based on financial need and are determined solely by each organization. De La Salle has no control over any determinants associated with these programs.
“Stacking” Scholarships (from School Tuition Organizations and Tax Donation Credit programs)
For the 2025-2026 school year, the Louisiana Legislature changed state laws, allowing families who qualified for financial assistance to “stack” scholarships from STOs & TDCs. Subsequently, the Louisiana Department of Education implemented guidelines that determined which scholarships could be stacked.
Although we anticipate stacking to continue, De La Salle must wait to see what changes, if any, may be made to stacking laws/guidelines for the 2026-2027 school year.
However, De La Salle encourages all families who may qualify for financial assistance to apply for scholarships from LA GATOR, ACE, Arete, Aspiring Scholars, and Son of a Saint.

It will close on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, or sooner, based on available funds. In 2025-2026, there was no application fee for LA GATOR. As more information is shared with schools, it will be updated on the De La Salle website. De La Salle has no control over any determinants associated with this program.

CHAMPIONS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION - NOLA ARCHDIOCESE
This small fund directed by the Archdiocese of New Orleans aims to provide financial support to families seeking to enroll their children in Catholic schools. It specifically targets families who, without assistance, would struggle to afford a Catholic education for their school-aged children. While many schools already offer some form of financial aid, these resources often fall short of meeting the needs of all students who require assistance.
The Champions of Catholic Education Fund aims to bridge this gap by providing additional financial support. While making Catholic schools entirely affordable may not be feasible, the fund strives to enhance the accessibility and availability of a Catholic education to those who are eager to benefit from it.
FINANCIAL AID SCHOLARSHIPS
Newly accepted De La Salle High School students who demonstrate academic excellence - and whose family has financial need - may apply for tuition assistance. Applications must be submitted through the FACTS portal - see the link at the bottom of the page. Families are encouraged to meet with the Admissions Department to discuss their financial situation in addition to submitting the FACTS online application.
- Requests for financial assistance from De La Salle will only be accepted from Monday, March 2, 2026 through Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
- Applications will only be reviewed if the student is fully registered by paying the $600 online registration fee.
- All financial aid awards are reviewed and approved by a financial aid committee.
- De La Salle High School does not grant full tuition waivers. Generally, aid is not granted for more than half of tuition and does not cover registration, uniforms, or books.
- Recipients of financial aid awards are notified in May by the Office of Admissions.
- Financial aid is not automatically renewed; a new FACTS application must be submitted every year.
- Returning families will not be eligible to reapply for financial assistance if a prior year balance remains on the student’s account.
